I’m Sam (they/them), a trans-masc neurodivergent Occupational Therapist (OT) working with teenagers and adults in the community (in Brunswick + surrounds and online). I worked in the disability sector as a support worker, mentor, and advocate for 10 years before becoming an OT.
My approach is client-centred and neuro-affirming. I bring curiosity, compassion, creativity, and practicality into our sessions. We all have different ways of moving around in the world and this is valuable to understand, explore, and honour in sessions. I want to learn what you’ve tried, where you’re at, and where you want to be. Some people will have an understanding of this when they start OT, and others will want to explore these ideas more together.
I work closely with people navigating their experiences of things like:
People often seek out OT sessions with me to build understanding and strategies for responding to their needs in ways that suit their goals and interests.
In sessions we can focus on considerations like:
Outside of my OT role, I practice walking the walk, and practice engaging in hobbies and interests I enjoy like cooking, making art, volunteering and mutual aid, riding my bike, exploring, and gardening. It’s the small joys in these moments that make the bigger stuff easier to navigate.
I work as a sole trader here at ND Cities. I named ND Cities because I am passionate about the generative ways neurodivergent people across increasingly connected communities and places navigate sensory, emotional, social, and cognitive differences together.
Please note: I do not have current capacity for new clients, I will be intaking new clients in February 2027, please contact me to be added to my waitlist.
